SodaStream E-DUO Sparkling Water Maker Review
If you’re anything like me, you probably love a good sparkling drink but don’t love the constant pile of cans and bottles that come with it. I’m always looking for little ways to make everyday life easier (and a little more fun), so when I got the chance to try the SodaStream E-DUO Sparkling Water Maker, I was honestly excited to see if it could live up to the hype.
First impressions? It’s incredibly easy to use, which is a big deal for me. I don’t want another appliance sitting on my counter that requires a whole instruction manual just to make a drink. With the E-DUO, all you do is fill the bottle with water, connect it using their SnapLock system, press the button to fizz, add your favorite flavor if you want, and you’re good to go. That’s it. It’s one of those things where you try it once and immediately think, “Okay, this is actually kind of genius.”
One of my favorite things about using the E-DUO is how customizable everything is. Not everyone likes their sparkling water the same way, and this machine makes it really easy to adjust. It has three pre-set carbonation levels, so you can go with a light fizz, a medium sparkle, or that bold bubbly feel if you love extra carbonation. I personally like a nice medium fizz that still feels refreshing without being too intense, and it’s literally just one button press to get it exactly how I like it.
The machine also comes with a great setup that makes it easy to use right out of the box. You get a 1-liter BPA-free plastic bottle plus two 1-liter glass bottles, which I really like because they feel a little more premium when serving drinks. It also includes two Quick Connect CO2 canisters, which together can carbonate up to 120 liters of sparkling water. That means a lot of fizzy drinks before you even have to think about refilling anything.
Another thing that makes this system really fun is the variety of flavors you can add. SodaStream offers over 40 different flavor options, including some from PepsiCo, so you can recreate some classic favorites or keep things simple with flavored sparkling water. I love that you can make it as sweet or as subtle as you want depending on how much syrup you add. It turns basic tap water into something that actually feels like a treat.
Something I really appreciate about the E-DUO is that it’s also a more eco-friendly option. Each CO2 cylinder can carbonate around 60 liters of water, which means you’re cutting down on a lot of single-use plastic bottles. When you start thinking about how many sparkling water cans people go through in a week, that can add up quickly. Using a refillable system like this makes a noticeable difference.
The SodaStream E-DUO has been a really fun addition to my kitchen. It’s simple to use, customizable, and perfect for anyone who enjoys sparkling drinks without constantly restocking from the store. If you’re trying to drink more water but want something a little more exciting than plain tap water, this is definitely a gadget worth checking out. It’s one of those small lifestyle upgrades that ends up making everyday hydration a lot more enjoyable.
